Weddings and things at Craft Rocket

Good morning crafters, it's time for a new challenge at Craft Rocket.  Our theme this fortnight is Weddings and Things.

I've made a card using these cute bunnies coloured with Promarkers.  I can't remember where the image came from, I think it might have been a freebie from somewhere.

I've used ribbon, card, pearls and background paper from my stash.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Crafty Hazelnuts - Patterned paper
Crafty Creations - Anything goes
CRAFT - Animals
Pearly Sparkles - Fur and pearls
Penny's Paper Crafty - Anything goes

You have until 5th July to link up your wedding related creations, looking forward to seeing your makes!

IHSW and WIPocalypse June

IHSW and Wipocalypse have fallen aroud the same time so I'm combining my posts.

Our question this month is are you more productive in summer or winter? I would say more productive in Winter as if the weather is good I'd rather take advantage and get out and about.  However, this year I have vowed to stitch every day, even if it's only a couple of stitches and so far so good!

I've been working on Treasure Hunt Booskshelf again - no surprise there!

Here's where I was at the end of May when you last saw it with 13 pages complete.

I now have another page finish and 98,000 stitches done. That's a third complete!

I also have progress (at last!) on Bamboo Fan.  I have decided to work on this on Tuesdays.

I finished all the greenery on the left and the yellow flowers.  This week I intend to finish the pink flowers on the left then that side will be done.  Apart from the metallic and backstitch which I'll do at the end.

Finally I have a couple of things to show you that I bought at my son's school summer fayre on Friday.  The weather wasn't great but we had fun anyway.

I bought a sunglasses case and a little storage bag.  Look at the tiny charm and the shells - so cute! I'm going to use it to put my orts in.  Maybe I'll join in TUSAL next time!

These are by a lovely lady called Jo Melton and her company is The Seaside Sew.  She also had the most beautiful beach bags and purses.  I have told my husband that I want one of her purses for my birthday.  She will make them to order with whatever colours you want and they are big enough to hold a phone and have a detachable handle - very handy on holiday I'm thinking.

That's all from me for now, I may not get much done next week as we have Sports Day on Tuesday, inset day on Friday and my husband will be off to the Goodwood Festival of Speed for the weekend.  I'll be entertaining our son for 3 days straight, here's hoping the weather is good and then we can get out of the house and to the beach or the allotment!

THB Progress

Just a quick update from me on Treasure Hunt Bookshelf.  Here's where I was at the end of May:

13 pages now complete.  I've slowed down a bit over the last 2 weeks as my husband and son have been off school and we went away for a few days.  I did some smalls instead which I will show at a later date when they're fully finished.

For a Man or Boy at Craft Rocket

Hello everyone, it's chellenge time again at Craft Rocket.  Our theme this fortnight is For a Man or a Boy - must be Father's Day soon!

I've made a card for my Dad using an image from QKR stampede called 'Gone Fishing' coloured with Promarkers.  My Dad is a keen angler so I'm hoping he'll like it.

I've added card and baker's twine and a doily from my stash.  The spotty paper is from my Create and Craft paper pack.  The stamped sentiment is from Inkylicious using a Memento tuxedo ink pad.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Thanks for visiting, don't forget you have until 22nd June to link up your makes.

Guest Designer at Creative Craft Cottage

Good morning everyone.  I'm thrilled to have been asked to be a guest designer at Creative Craft Cottage for their Favourite Colour Combo challenge.

I've been given this beautiful image to work with called 'Fairy of December' from Poppy Seed.

My favourite Christmas colours are red, green and gold so that's what I've used here.  She's coloured with Promarkers with Angel Whispers glitter on her wings.  The gold card is from my stash, the paper is Paermania.  I hand stamped the sentiment (always a worry that I'll muck it up after I've coloured the image, I really must stop doing it that way round!) using a Memento Tuxedo ink pad and a stamp from Inkylicious.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Thanks for visiting, please go on over to Creative Craft Cottage to link up your creations and see what the talented design team have made.
