WIPocalypse and Gifted Gorgeousness

Hello everyone, I'm a bit late with everything again,  I've been so busy at work and with end of term stuff at my son's school.  Now it's the holidays and while I still have another week at work my husband and son are home and it's all a bit less frantic.

First - WIPocalypse.  I've been working on Treasure Hunt Bookshelf and Bamboo Fan.  Bamboo Fan is now my Tuesday project so I am making steady progress. Here they are last time you saw them.

And now

I've finished another 2 pages, just one and a partial until the 2nd row is finished.  I was hoping to have it done by the end of the month but we've booked a last minute holiday so I really don't think it's going to happen.  I can't take it with me as I'd need my daylight lamp for this one.  I think I'll take Bamboo Fan with me instead.  I'm not sure what count it's on but it's bigger that THB so I won't have any problems seeing the holes!  You may be wondering what the sticker is on the top of my snap frame - it's a frog!  I thought if I put it there it might keep the other one away - didn't work, I spent yesterday frogging quite a bit of orange as I was one row out.

Our question for this month is how we're meeting our goals for this year.  I've looked back at my post at the beginning of the year and it's not going well!  I wanted to have my Reindeer made into a cushion and Pretty Little Hong Kong and Forest Walk framed.  I have done nothing with these yet.  I wanted to have Bamboo Fan finished by the end of the year.  I barely touched it until a few weeks ago!  I'm getting there, hopefully a week with it on holiday will see some more progress.  THB is the only thing going according to plan.  I wanted to do an average of 500 stitches a day and at last count I was 17 days ahead of schedule.  So I can afford to take a week off from it to go on holiday.  I wanted to be halfway through by the end of the year and I'm sure I will be.  On the plus side, I have stitched every day since 1st January.  Sometimes it has literally only been a couple of stitches but every little helps!

On to Gifted Gorgeousness!  I've made 2 things.  I've stitched this little design for a Christening.  It will be made into a card.  I got the chart from Ebay and it's from The World of Cross Stitching magazine. Stitched 2 over 2 on some random evenweave from my stash using the recommended DMC threads.

Then I've made this bag for my friend.  You may recall she admired the sheep one I did earlier in the year and asked if I would do the dog for her.  She has been very unwell this year but is hopefully on the mend now.

She turns 40 on Monday but her party is this afternoon so I'm going to take it along.  I really hope she likes it.  I'm going to pop a bottle of fizz in for good measure!

That's all from me for now, Happy Stitching everyone!

Make It Pearly at Unicorn

Good morning Crafters, it's time for a new challenge at Unicorn.  Our theme this month is Make it Pearly so we would like to see some pearls on your makes.

I have done something a bit different this month, I've made a tag card.  I bought the card blank at a craft show in Portsmouth last month.  The bauble digi is by Deedee's digis which is no longer in business.  I won several of these images and I'm gradually getting through them all.  I've coloured it with promarkers, covered it in glitter and pearls from my stash and used background paper from Lili of the Valley.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:
